A striking chess set featuring large, beautifully weighted Leningrad ebonized boxwood chess pieces paired with a high-quality veneer chessboard.

The Leningrad Chess Pieces series comprises sets of quality large chess pieces available in ebonized boxwood, acacia and anjan. To create the look of these black pieces, a set of natural boxwood goes through a treatment called ebonization. It's a long and painstaking procedure, but the results are really worth the wait to create the appearance of ebony, without its price tag.

With their height and stature, all the chess pieces are regal and elegant in their appearance. These large chess pieces are perfectly weighted for their size and naturally polished with plush flocked bases in green.

We have chosen a lovely chessboard with fine-quality inlays to accommodate the Leningrad ebonized chess pieces.

The chessboard has substantial weight and a solid feel, and is very well finished, making it perfect to complement these chess pieces.
