Traditional Staunton Conquest chess pieces in ebonized boxwood, paired with a 16.7-inch Spanish walnut chess board and a luxury rootwood veneer case with chrome fittings.

Perhaps our most traditional Staunton set of wooden chess pieces, each Conquest chess piece is hand-turned and expertly carved from high-quality boxwood to create this exceptional set of chess pieces.

The darker pieces are ebonized, a process that penetrates the hardwood to give a professional finish while further protecting the wood. These chess pieces will last for many years.

This lovely 16.7-inch chess board was crafted in Spain from walnut and maple and features a billiard cloth base that doubles as the hinge.

To complement this set, we have matched it with a beautifully constructed rootwood veneer chess piece case lined with two plush black flocked compartments and a black flocked base. Chrome-plated quadrant hinges are inset into the case, creating a clean, strong look that is robust. Quadrant hinges not only look good, but they also stop the case lid from folding back too far, allowing the lid to safely rest open. The case also features a contemporary-looking chrome-plated clasp that keeps the case closed when not in use.
