Inspired by the various chess pieces of the medieval era, this exceptionally luxurious set of resin chess pieces comes paired with a deluxe high-gloss black anegre & maple wooden chess board.

Although chess originates in the East, probably the most recognizable historical chess set is the Isle of Lewis Chessmen. These famous whalebone pieces were originally made in medieval Norway and were discovered on the shores of the Isle of Lewis in the early 19th century. There are, however, many other medieval chess pieces on display in museums all around the world.

The master sculptors at Berkeley Chess have commemorated some of the lesser-known medieval chess pieces with these stunning resin chess pieces, which feature designs based on a 14th-century German set.
