The Leningrad Series comprises sets of quality large chess pieces available in ebonized boxwood, acacia and anjan. To create these black pieces, natural boxwood undergoes a treatment called ebonization. It's a long and painstaking process, but the results are certainly worth the wait to create the appearance of ebony without the cost, and it also helps protect the wood.
