The Leningrad Series comprises sets of quality large chess pieces available in ebonized boxwood, acacia and anjan. To create these black pieces, natural boxwood undergoes a treatment called ebonization. It's a long and painstaking process, but the results are certainly worth the wait to create the appearance of ebony without the cost, and it also helps protect the wood.

Because of the quality of finish and weight of the Leningrad Series chess pieces, they have become one of the best sellers on the Regency Chess website. The solid feel in the hand is a compliment we hear regularly from customers.
