The Down Head Series is Regency Chess's entry-level wooden Staunton chess pieces. These lovely chess pieces are single-weighted and generously felted on their bases to protect the wood. They are all one-piece carvings using a design that is not only great to look at but equally practical for play.

These Down Head Series chess pieces are fashioned from ebonized boxwood and boxwood and represent excellent value. They are crafted and finished in the same factory as some of the world's finest chess pieces by the same craftsmen who create our luxury chess pieces.

Chess boards of 13 to 15 inches best accommodate these chess pieces.
