These Down Head chess pieces are made from solid natural sheesham (golden rosewood) and boxwood. They are hand-finished with a natural wax, weighted, and have green felt applied to their bases.

We have matched these substantial chess pieces with our 19-inch European tournament chess board made by our Spanish friends, the world-famous Rechapados Ferrer. This is a striking combination of rich mahogany and maple veneers and is expertly crafted. In addition, we have included our stained birch chess box to keep your chess pieces safe when not in play.
