This beautiful chess set combines our 18.9-inch maple and mahogany chess board with the superb 3.3-inch Down Head chess pieces. A neat storage box is also included and is the perfect size to house the chess pieces while not in play.

The chess board is a European-made veneer with finely inlaid squares. It's a clean design that has been crafted to exacting standards and a robust, heavy chess board that will provide years, if not decades, of use.Rechapados Ferrer are world-renowned for their high-quality products and expert craftsmanship.

These chess pieces are very well weighted. Each piece has internal weighting and generous felting on the base. They have been crafted from the finest boxwood and the dark pieces ebonized to take on a highly convincing ebony appearance, without the ebony price tag.
